Every day our law enforcement officers risk their lives to keep our communities safe. Sometimes, unfortunately, that risk becomes a reality. These fallen officers deserve to be recognized for their ultimate sacrifice. The proposed memorial, which would be located at Soldier’s Field in Rochester, will help us honor and remember our heroes. Your support of the Southeast Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial is needed and would be greatly appreciated, not only by the loved ones of these officers, but also the law enforcement community and beyond.
Soldier’s Field in Rochester, Minnesota, will be the location of the memorial (7th Street SW and George Gibbs Dr. SW). The memorial will be a nice addition to the park because a Veteran Memorial is already at Soldier’s Field. It is a beautiful space with many trees and it is a peaceful place to honor and remember the fallen officers and veterans.
The goal is to have this built by 2022.
This will depend how fast money is raised though. Estimated costs are still being solidified.
Committee members have been working closely with CRW Architects on an optimal design for the memorial and it will be shared soon.
Until the construction phase is reached, the design is subject to change.
